Learn how to generate a professional mutual close plan presentation using the IBM Workshop platform. This guide walks you through configuring industry-specific session details and downloading ready-to-use slides for your client meetings.

1. Navigate to https://workshop.ibm.com/. Click Create New Session to begin building deal strategies.

2. Find Negotiate and Close a Deal and click LAUNCH to begin.

3. Click Products & Industry to fine tune your session and get the most out of watsonx Workshop.

4. Navigate to Technology and anchor your session to a Product (A). To further refine your session, navigate to Industry and anchor your session by Industry (B) and Sector (C). Click Configure Session (D) once you've completed your configurations.

5. Additionally you can utilize client data and my assets to upload documents that is relevant to the product, client, industry, and markets to efficiently build your strategy for a faster close. If you have an existing closing plan, upload it to refine it. Within the Chat, click Create to begin generating a new closing plan.

6. Click Help me create a mutual close plan for this deal.

7. Utilize the Chat (A) by prompting it to identify possible leverage points, negotiation angles, hidden risks, or accelerators within your plan. Here are example prompts:

  • "Can you identify possible leverage points within the close plan?"
  • "Based on this close plan, what are possible negotiations to prepare for?"
  • "Identify hidden risks and accelerators within the deal."

Click Submit (B).

8. Navigate to the Studio and click Presentation to generate slides for leadership review.

9. Based on the depth required for your internal close plan, alter the length under Select Presentation Type (A). To keep your session organized, navigate to Presentation Title (B) and type a title. Refine your generated presentation by changing the prompt under What should the presentation focus on? (C). Once completed, click Generate Presentation (D).

10. Find your newly generated presentation in the Studio.

11. If you want a corresponding video, click Generate Video (A). Click Download Slides (B) to save a copy of the generated slides to your device.

  1. Start the Session: Select the Negotiate and Close a Deal agent.
  2. Finetune Your Context: Utilize Configure Context to upload relevant content to the product, client, industry, and markets to efficiently build your strategy for a faster close. If you have an existing closing plan, upload it to refine it.
  3. Generate or Refine a Closing Plan: In the Chat select Create in skills located under the text box to help generate a tailored prompt and begin constructing or refining a mutual close plan that outlines the steps, owners, and timeline required for the client.
  4. Recommend Negotiation Angles: Use the Chat to identify leverage points and possible negotiation angles based on your closing plan to strengthen your positioning. Example prompts:
    • “Can you identify possible leverage points within the close plan?”
    • “Based on this close plan, what are possible negotiations to prepare for?”
  5. Identify Risks & Accelerators: Using the Chat, identify hidden risks that could slow down the deal and find accelerators that help you close sooner.
  6. Generate Close Plan Slide Decks: Use the Presentation tool in Studio to create an internal close plan for leadership reviews.

Pro Tip: If competitors are in the deal, list them in Context panel and ask, “Where could competitors slow down this deal, and how do we stay ahead?”
