Is watsonx Workshop ready for client-facing use?

No. While podcasts and content can be shared internally, client-facing use is currently restricted due to legal concerns around voice technology.

Is watsonx Workshop available for partners?

Not at this time. However, it is on the roadmap.

Can watsonx Workshop access external websites?

Yes. watsonx Workshop can leverage web search when enabled to bring in relevant, up-to-date external information with careful consideration of legal and ethical boundaries.

Can I upload Excel or Word documents?

Yes! Currently, watsonx Workshop supports PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, MD, XLS, and XLSX files.

Will I earn Learning hours by using watsonx Workshop towards my Think 40 goal on Your Learning?

Yes! watsonx Workshop is now integrated with Your Learning and your time on Workshop will earn credits to Think 40. Every Saturday at 2:00 AM EST, watsonx Workshop will sync your session usage to Your Learning to reflect total hours spent on the platform. Does watsonx Workshop support upselling for existing clients?

Not directly at the moment. However, upcoming enhancements will connect watsonx Workshop to internal data sources (e.g. ISC, product affinity models) to support upsell strategies.

Can watsonx Workshop help with pricing and licensing?

Partially! It can guide pricing conversations when prompted and is best suited for high-level positioning and discussion. Deeper, model-specific pricing support is an area of active exploration, including the development of a dedicated pricing agent.

Can watsonx Workshop help with RFP responses?

Yes. Using the right prompts enables watsonx Workshop in supporting requirement analysis and drafting responses. We are actively developing a tool to autofill Excel RFPs to further enhance your watsonx Workshop experience.

Does the Chat provide references for the information it shares?

Yes! Source citations are available directly within the interface. These references are drawn from reliable materials such as Level 1 and Level 2 product content and Seismic resources.

Can watsonx Workshop create sales outreach content?

Yes. It can generate structured outreach sequences such as, but not limited to, emails, LinkedIn messages, call scripts, value statements, and multistep cadences tailored to specific stakeholders or industries.

How accurate or realistic are the personas used in simulations?

Each persona reflects real-world characteristics, including professional roles, responsibilities, common objections, personality traits, and even personal interests. This level of details makes interactions feel authentic and helps you rehearse scenarios you're likely to encounter in practice.

Does watsonx Workshop support IBM Sales Cloud (ISC) information?

Yes, watsonx Workshop has ISC integration within the platform. Begin a session, navigate to Context, and click Add next to ISC Data to import either an Account or Opportunity into your session. Only one Account and Opportunity can be added into a session.

Can I share generated content with others?

You can download or copy any content—emails, strategies, podcasts, battlecards, summaries—and share them with colleagues, teams, or partners as needed. Interactive podcasts can be downloaded for personal learning, but are not intended for direct sharing with clients.

Which IBM products can I learn about with watsonx Workshop?

watsonx Workshop covers all IBM offerings. When creating a session, use the Product field to search for a specific product or apply platform and domain filters to narrow your selection. If a product is missing, reach out to the team via the Slack feedback channel so it can be reviewed and added.
